Rock Climbing meets Extreme Mountain Running – Climbathon?
Climbathon??? You must watch the video! When I first looked at the Mount Kinabalu International Climbathon race description, I thought ahh it is only 21K, but then I saw the vertical, 2,300m (7,545ft) of gain over 10K, then you have to run back down. Or FALL BACK DOWN. Looks like this would be a great course to carry roller blades for the downs (check images below). They say it is world’s toughest mountain race; it is twice as steep as Pike’s Peak.and 300m (1000ft) taller. The course runs up and down Mount Kinabalu. AND the coolest part . . .
